SMS repairs messaging service

Sutton Housing Partnership will soon be introducing a repairs SMS messaging service to improve communication to residents about upcoming repair work to their property.

This is a new step in SHP’s repairs process, enhancing its commitment to strengthen communications with residents. This new functionality will ensure that residents are kept up to date from the moment a repair is raised all the way through to completion, including when the operative is on their way.  

Tenants can expect the following as part of the SMS repairs messaging service:

  • Appointment confirmation: A message upon scheduling the appointment, confirming the details.

  • 24- Hour Reminder: A friendly reminder sent 24 hours before the scheduled appointment to enable them to plan their day effectively.

  • On our way: Notification of when the team is en route to the property so that arrival can be anticipated.

  • Work Completion Notice: Once the service or works are completed, notification that regular activities can resume.

The SMS will only be sent to the main tenant. If you are a joint tenant raising the repair, the four SMS’s will be sent to the main tenant on the account.
